Music and Talk: Persian traditional music, Neynava

Join the Neynava Ensemble as they present captivating traditional Persian melodies that are deeply rooted in the culture and history of Iran. This presentation will include tunes in the Isfahan and Dashti modes, which are considered soft, smooth and evocative. 

In this performance, the Neynava Ensemble will perform in a smaller configuration with the following artists:

• Pegah Sherkat, vocalist;
• Ali Mahinpour, tar;
• Misagh Khorram, kamancheh;
• Soheil Mahinpour, tonabk and daff.

This hour-long performance is brought to you by the Iranian Music Society and is made possible thanks to The New Horizons Grant for Seniors Program. There will be some time for questions and interactions at the end. 

Registration is required. Please arrive on time. Due to the popularity of the program, your spot will be held for 5 minutes only and will then be released to someone from the wait list.

گروه موسیقی نی نوا قصد دارد نغمه‌های دل‌نشینی از موسیقی کلاسیک ایران را که ریشه در فرهنگ و تاریخ این سرزمین دارد، به مخاطبان ارائه دهد. این اجرا شامل قطعاتی در مقام های اصفهان و دشتی خواهد بود که به‌عنوان نغمه‌هایی نرم، روان و احساسی شناخته می‌شوند.

اجرای این گروه شامل قطعات گروهی و همچنین ساز و آواز میباشد. 

در این اجرا، گروه نی نوا با ترکیب کوچک‌تری از هنرمندان به صحنه خواهد رفت که شامل افراد زیر می‌باشد:

پگاه شرکت - آواز
علی مهین‌پور - تار
میثاق خرم - کمانچه
سهیل مهین‌پور - تنبک و دف

مدت زمان پیش‌بینی‌شده برای این برنامه حدود ۹۰ دقیقه است که شامل ۶۰ دقیقه اجرای زنده موسیقی و ۳۰ دقیقه تعامل با مخاطبان و بخش پرسش و پاسخ می‌باشد.
