Ways to give
Donate online by credit card, debit card or PayPal
It’s easy to donate online using our secure donor form where you can:
- Use Visa, MasterCard or Amex credit cards, Interac debit cards, or PayPal
- Receive an official tax receipt by email
- Specify what projects or services you want the library to spend your donation on
- Make a gift in memoriam of a beloved, and have a message sent to the family
- Make a gift in honour of someone, and have a message sent to them
- Make a monthly gift to ensure that the library’s literacy programs have continuous funding
Levels of giving and recognition
Donor recognition
City Library’s donor recognition program aims to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of our many donors and supporters. All donations of $25 or more receive a charitable tax receipt, letter of thanks, recognition in the annual community report and on the website.
Donors may elect to remain anonymous and may decline private or public recognition.
Gratitude wall
Donations of $100 or more are displayed on the library’s gratitude wall, located inside the entrance to the library building. Eligible donors appear on the wall for a period of years following their donation. The wall panels are updated annually.

Supporter $1,000 – $2,499

Sustainer $2,500 – $4,999
- Name displayed on gratitude wall for four years
- Acknowledgement in community report
Benefactor $5,000 – $9,999
- Name displayed on gratitude wall for five years
- Acknowledgement in community report
Champion $10,000 – $24,999
- Name displayed on gratitude wall for seven years
