This program is recommended for teens in grades 9 - 11

Post-secondary planning can feel overwhelming with so many options: college, university, gap years, trades, apprenticeships, and work experience. Starting career exploration early in high school gives students time to discover a pathway that aligns with their strengths and interests and provides the flexibility to change their mind along the way.

This workshop will help you explore:

  • What is important to you.
  • What you are good at.
  • What problems interest you.
  • What you can be paid to do.

You will learn:

  • How to search for programs of interest
  • What courses are prerequisites and recommended
  • How extra-curricular activities and can complement an application,
  • How personal projects can confirm your interests and make your application stand out.

You will leave with an understanding of:

  • Where to start.
  • Steps to get organized.
  • The value of early career exploration.
