In addition to your grades, some university applications require a writing component that aims to find out who you are and why you are a good fit. Learn how to create themes and summarize your skills and interests based on your lived experiences. Craft your themes into stories that capture your reader's interest and help them learn more about why you're a strong candidate.
This program is recommended for students in grades 11 & 12.
About the presenter:
Stephanie Jansen is a Career Counsellor and Founder of Alaire Advising. She loves guiding students to plan their first launch upon high school graduation. With years of experience, Stephanie has learned that young people need someone who will listen with understanding to instill hope for all their possibilities: college/university, trades and apprenticeships, GAP year, and work experience. To help complement students' academic profiles, Stephanie also offers guidance on extracurricular activities related to arts and culture, athletics, sciences, service and leadership, work experience, and volunteer opportunities both in school and in the community.
