Event overview

October 9, 2024

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Are you interested in learning about university writing expectations and genres? Have you worried about what citation styles are and how to use them? Do you wonder how developments in generative AI relate to English assignments and grading criteria? Would you like to learn more about the university writing experience in a friendly and supportive environment? If so, then this workshop is for you!

City Library is collaborating with the Capilano University Writing Centre to bring you this workshop, led by a Cap English instructor and two Cap student peer tutors.

This workshop is geared towards teenagers and young adults (ages 16 to 24) considering going to university.

Learn both instructor and student perspectives on how to navigate academic writing. In addition to a presentation with optional activities, there will be lots of time for questions.
