Between finding the perfect voice, writing natural-sounding dialogue, avoiding cliches, and building a compelling arc, creating realistic characters isn't easy! Join local YA author Lianne Oelke at a virtual workshop for examples, strategies, and exercises to bring your characters to life. A Q&A session will follow, so bring all your writing questions.

This is a program for teens in grades 8 to 12. Please register using the email at which you would like to receive the Zoom link.

About the author

Lianne Oelke has a degree in philosophy and works in the film industry — which explains a lot about her debut novel, Nice Try, Jane Sinner. Or not. She lives in North Vancouver, where she reads, trains for triathlons, and thinks about cats.
