You may be eligible for tax benefits and credits — which is money in your pocket! This financial literacy presentation from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is designed for newcomers. Learn about:
- Canada’s tax system;
- Residency status for income tax purposes;
- The Canada Child Benefit (CCB);
- The GST/HST Credit;
- The Canada Worker’s Benefit (CWB);
- Ways to do your taxes;
- The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP);
- CRA services and tools;
- Scams.
Registration is requested, but drop-ins may be allowed if space permits.
