Music and talk: Naghmeh Ensemble

Join the Iranian Music Society as they present the Naghmeh Ensemble. The Naghmeh Ensemble is a trio dedicated to the rich tradition of Persian Classical music and features voice, tar and percussion. Rooted in a centuries-old musical heritage, their performance will showcase traditional Persian songs in solo, duet and trio arrangements. 

A defining feature of Persian classical music is the art of Saaz and Avaaz — a profound dialogue between voice and instrument. In this technique, the singer performs in a free meter, while the tar follows with delicate imitation, creating an expressive and spontaneous musical conversation. The rhythmic foundation provided by percussion adds depth and dynamism, enriching the ensemble's intricate interplay. 

Through this performance, the Naghmeh Ensemble invites the audience on a journey through the timeless melodies and poetic essence of Persian music, celebrating its emotional depth and improvisatory spirit. 

The members of the Naghmeh Ensemble are Naghmeh Esfahani (vocals), Ramin Rahmati (daf), and Fariborz Alaghehband (tar).

گروه نغمه سه‌نوازی متشکل از آواز، تار و سازهای کوبه‌ای است که به اجرای موسیقی کلاسیک ایرانی
می‌پردازد. این گروه با الهام از میراث کهن موسیقی ایران، مجموعه‌ای از قطعات سنتی را به‌صورت
تک‌نوازی، دونوازی و سه‌نوازی اجرا می‌کند.
یکی از ویژگی‌های برجسته موسیقی کلاسیک ایرانی، ساز و آواز است که به‌عنوان یک گفتگوی عمیق
بین صدا و ساز شناخته می‌شود. در این تکنیک، خواننده آزادانه اجرا می‌کند و تار با ظرافت از آن
پیروی کرده و به بازآفرینی و تقلید آن می‌پردازد. همراهی سازهای کوبه‌ای نیز به این ترکیب، عمق و
پویایی بیشتری می‌بخشد و اجرای گروه را غنی‌تر می‌کند.
گروه نغمه با اجرای خود، شنوندگان را به سفری در میان نغمه‌های جاودانه و شعرهای دلنشین موسیقی
ایرانی دعوت می‌کند و روح بداهه‌پردازی و احساسات عمیق این موسیقی را به نمایش می‌گذارد
