Join us to learn the art of photo-embroidery! Using photographs exploring the theme “Memories of North Vancouver,” we will be learning simple embroidery stitches to apply to our design, and together share our work in a mini-exhibition at the end.
Photo-embroidery is a creative way to make artwork out of photographs. It is easy to learn for all ages, and requires very simple tools to get started, making it easy to do at home. You will also receive a mini embroidery kit to take home so you can continue with your new skill! No previous experience or specific skills required, but please note this workshop requires the ability to work with a small craft needle.
- Pre-registration required; you will be signed up for both sessions when you register.
- This workshop runs for two Saturdays: Nov. 2 & Nov. 9, 2 – 4 p.m. and attending both sessions is required.
- Open to ages 14 and older (children 10-13 are welcome supervised by an adult).
Please get in touch with us at info@nvcl.ca to discuss accessibility requirements. We will do our best to accommodate.
