In order to be eligible for the tax clinic, you must meet all the following criteria. If you cannot check all the boxes, you are not eligible for the clinic.

  • For one person — $40,000
  • For a couple — $55,000 for the couple, and $5,000 for each dependent family member (e.g. the limit for a common-law couple with two children under 18 would be $65,000)
  • One person and one dependent (e.g. a single parent and child) — $45,000 and $5,000 for each dependent
Limited assistance may be available for up to two years prior, subject to availability. If this applies to you, please describe your situation in the text box below.
A capital gain or loss happens when you sell something for more or less than you paid for it. 
If you are not a North Shore resident, view tax clinics offered in your area.

Preferred date and time

Please provide us with your first and second choice for tax clinic session days and times. Appointments are 30 – 60 min. long. If you have specific availability concerns please provide that information in the box below, and we will do our best to accommodate.
