Library closed Oct. 26 for planned power outage

The City Library building will be closed all day Saturday, Oct. 26, due to a planned BC Hydro power outage. We regret that many public services provided by the library will be unavailable that day. Regular operations are expected to resume Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m.

During the power outage, the following services will NOT be accessible:

  • Automatic book return 
    • Please keep your materials until Sunday, Oct. 27 OR use the outside return box
  • All room bookings
  • Public computers & public Wi-Fi
  • Exam invigilations
  • TechConnect services

Additionally, public programs are CANCELLED:

  • Paws for Stories
  • Tech for Tots
  • Learn the art of photo-embroidery
  • Family gaming

Other North Shore libraries will be open for reading, studying, public printing and more:
