The digital library's doors are always open. Here you can find and access ebooks, magazines, newspapers, find resource guides, learn a language or a new skill — all from your own living room.
Access your account for checkouts, holds, fines and to view "My Lists".
Library card
All library materials may be borrowed with a library card, except reference materials and home services audiobooks. Registration for a library card is free for City of North Vancouver, BC OneCard users and InterLink communities. Get a library card.
Borrow
Loan periods are 4 weeks for most materials, and 2 weeks for high-demand items such as DVDs and video games. Read about borrowing limits.
Return and renew
Return materials through the automated book drop. Renew materials by logging into our catalogue using your library code and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone number).
Loan periods and holds
NVCL does not charge fines on overdue materials. However, please note that we charge the replacement cost for lost items and long-overdue (6 weeks) items assumed to be lost.
There is no fee to place holds on titles in our catalogue. There is a $1 fee for holds that are not picked up and checked out.
Come join us for stories, finger plays and songs. Our toddler's storytime program is based on simple concepts and movement, and is designed for kids 2 to 3 and their caregivers.
Registration for storytimes is no longer required.
Due to the popularity of our programs, we ask you to please do your best to arrive on time. If you have any questions or feedback about storytimes, please contact the children's department at 604-998-3480 or email us at info@nvcl.ca
