November 6, 2024

6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Please note: this program is intended for adults and is not designed for children.

Are you a childcare provider, or an early childhood educator, looking for new ways to incorporate stories and rhymes into your circle time? Are you interested in learning the basics of creating your own felt stories for storytelling? We are hosting an introductory workshop on how to make felt stories for those working professionally with children ages 0 to 5. Participants will learn about the benefits of using felt stories as a storytelling method, and will get the chance to create their own felt story to take home. Participants will also take home other learning materials provided by the library, and a print copy of the story we make into felt.

This workshop is designed for those working in childcare centres, or those enrolled in an early childhood educator program. Participants will be provided with all necessary supplies during the program. We are grateful to Capilano University's "Together for Literacy" project, whose generous grant funding made this workshop possible.

Registration is required! If you have questions, please contact info@nvcl.ca or 604-998-3450.
