The library is turning 100 this year, and to celebrate, we'd love our community to help us decorate!
Try out the library's JANOME 2030 QDC-B sewing machines and help us sew some bunting! The bunting will be hanging at the library's 100th birthday party on Saturday, Sept. 14, so you'll have a chance to see your own work alongside contributions from across City Library's community.
A supervised sewing machine will be set up in the lobby and a staff member will be on hand to show you the basics of the project. Flags, binding and thread will be provided. All you need to do is sit down and sew! You can add as many or as few flags to the bunting as you like.
Please join us on the Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the Centennial Celebration.
Read about the library's sewing machines and view our sewing safety policy. Please note that to use the sewing machines on your own, you must be 13 or older.
